Mike Elliott is a faith-driven family man, lifelong educator, and proven conservative who’s spent his life working, serving, and teaching right here in Walker County.
Jasper and Walker County at large stand to significantly benefit from an influx of jobs brought in by new industries. I’ll work tirelessly to ensure Walker County is a place where folks want to move to for work, and a place where folks want to raise their families and worship in.
As a true conservative and small-business owner, I understand the burden that unnecessary taxes put on folks like you and me. In Montgomery, I’ll always vote in the best interest of your pocketbook. I want to ensure you, and your family have more money in your pocket at the end of each year and fewer government taxes.
Walker County has shown considerable progress in economic development over the years. As your state representative, I’ll strive to build on our progress and bring key industries to our home.
As a life-long educator, I know the importance of a quality education. Every child should have a fair shot at a successful career and a higher quality of life. I want to ensure your children and grandchildren have the best chances to be successful in the educational endeavors, ensuring they have access to the best possible job outcomes available.
Lifelong Walker County Family Man
Mike lives in Jasper, AL, with his wife of 41 years, Brenda. They have one son, Brandon and his wife Tina, and two grandsons, Fisher and Camp.
Upon moving to Jasper in 1974, Mike quickly became a member of First Baptist Church of Saragossa, where Mike proudly still serves as a Sunday School Director to this day.
Bringing a tireless work ethic, an entrepreneurial mindset, and flat-out determination, Mike worked in the local grocery industry for close to a decade during the 1990s.
Understands that hard work and determination will get you far, but saw that a quality education for our children and grandchildren “evens the playing field”
